James Walker

Yeah, we’re not going to share stories. Or rather, you’re not to share any about me. (This story thing is ALL bad. I’ve already been tagged with “cat enema”.)

Anyway, James and I met each other a zillion years ago. He’s a great guy and a total geek (I mean that in a good way, of course).

I highly recommend him!

James is even cooler in person than on the internet and that is pretty cool (and cute—I mean handsome which is how my grandma taught me to compliment a guy). Through the corner of my eye I spotted the one person that I have been trying to meet for close to 2 years and there he was just grooving by the turn tables with Drupal typeface in front of him. Great to finally meet you James and I look forward to some Toronto adventures some time in 2007 when Boris and I head out that way for a friend’s wedding. Later Walkah!

It’s true! She exists! Through some series of freak coincidences and bad luck, I had managed to make it through 2 years worth of trips to Vancovuer, and excessive hours with Boris without meeting his better half.

Well, she just dropped by the office and I can finally rest easy knowing that k8 is not an invention of the internet, but a real live person. At last. :)

I met James at the Wireless Toronto anniversary party on May 25, 2006. Turned out that he uses Planner too. It’s a relatively obscure personal information manager for Emacs, but it’s tons of fun. =) Also, Drupal is cool. james++. =)

I can’t remember if it was Phillip directly, but it was certainly at one of the Social Tech events. Drinking beer on the patio at The Embassy in Kensington Market as I happily recall.

I had just started working with Drupal a little bit, so immediately on finding that James was somewhat involved in Drupal I started bending his ear about something that I thought should be different about the system (having used it for all of 4 hours at that point). It’s to James’ credit I think that he responded reasonably to my ranting about whatever it was.
